Simple English
Welcome to ANOHA!
This page has information in plain language about the children’s museum ANOHA and this website.
Contents
The information in plain language is divided into three sections:
1. About ANOHA
ANOHA is the children’s museum
of the Jewish Museum Berlin.
It is for children from 3 to 10 years old
and their families.
ANOHA tells the story of Noah’s Ark.
This story is in the Torah, the Bible and the Quran.
These are important books in different religions.
The Ark was a big boat.
Noah used it to save his family
and all kinds of animals from the Great Flood.
The Great Flood means there was a very large amount of water.

There is a big Ark in the children’s museum.
The Ark is round and made of wood.
There are 150 toy animals in the boat.
Artists used old things to make the animals.
Children can go inside the boat
and play with the animals.
This helps them think about important questions:
- How does everyone get on the boat?
Do they use the slide or the rope?
Or do the big animals help them? - How can everyone get along together on the boat?
- What happens after the Great Flood?
- What does a better world look like?
You can build a little boat in a workshop area.
Then you can put your Ark on water.
This makes ANOHA more than a normal children’s museum.
